Ingredients

  • 1

    cup evaporated milk

  • 3

    eggs yolks

  • 1

    teaspoon vanilla

  • 1

    cup chopped pecans

  • 1

    cup sugar

  • ½

    cup butter or margarine

  • 1⅓

    cups flaked coconut

Directions

Combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter & vanilla in small saucepan. Cook & stir over medium heat until thick, about 12 minutes. Stir in coconut & pecans. Beat until thick enough to spread. This is the best icing, even though I cheat & make the German chocolate cake from a mix. But then, the icing makes the cake. Enjoy.
