Ingredients

    pound ground beef

  • 1

    C. chopped onion

  • 3

    C. water

  • 1

    C. chopped carrot

  • 1

    C. diced celery

  • 1

    C. pared, cubed potatoes

  • 1

    large can whole tomatoes

  • 2

    tsp. salt

  • ¼

    tsp. pepper

  • 1

    Bay leaf

  • tsp. basil

Directions

In large pan, cook and stir ground beef until brown; drain. Cook and stir onions with meat until onions are tender. Stir in remaining ingredients; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
