Ingredients

  • 4 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) unsalted butter, cut up
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract % tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate Hershey's Kisses or chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line a 13 x 9-in. baking pan with nonstick foil, letting foil extend about 2 inch, above ends of pan.

2. Melt unsweetened chocolate and butter in a bowl in microwave; let cool.

3. Beat eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt in a large bowl with mixer on medium-high speed 2 minutes or until pale, Beat in chocolate mixture, Stir in flour just until blended, Stir in chocolate and pecans, Spread evenly in prepared pan.

4. Bake 30 to 35 minutes until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, Cool in pan on a wire rack. Lift foil by ends to cutting board. Cut in 24 bars.
