Ingredients
- 1 Cup dark molasses
- 1 Cup boiling water
- 1 Cup sugar
- 1 Cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 3 Cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. POWDERED GINGER
- 1 tsp. PENZEYS CINNAMON
- 1 tsp. BAKING SPICE
- 1/2 tsp. GROUND ALLSPICE
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Whipped topping

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°. In a mixing bowl, combine the molasses and the boiling water and mix. Add the sugar and vegetable oil and stir well. Let cool to lukewarm before adding the eggs and mix well. Add the flour, baking soda, SPICES and salt and mix until smooth. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan and bake at 375° for 30-40 minutes, until it is springy and pulling away from the sides of the pan or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Serve with dollops of whipped topping.
