Ingredients

  • 5-3/4 - 6-1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 pkgs yeast
  • 2/3 cup butter (melted)
  • 2 cups hot tap water
  • 2 eggs (room temp - beaten)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix 1 cup flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Add butter. Gradually add hot water and beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Add eggs and 1 cup flour and beat 1 minute, scraping bowl. With spoon, stir enough flour to make soft dough. Knead till smooth. Place in greased bowl and turn to grease top, cover and rise till double. Punch down and use. Let rise in greased pan 1 hour. Before baking brush with beaten egg. Bake @ 350 for 10-15 minutes.
