Ingredients

  • 2 pkg yeast
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 1 tbs salt
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 4-5 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup oil

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together yeast, sugar, salt and warm water. Let stand for 15 minutes.

In a large bowl mix flour, warm water, oil and yeast mixture. Knead for 10 minutes. For a large bread, shape into one round loaf. Or divide into two smaller loaves.

Place on greased baking pans. Cover with plastic wrap and a kitchen towel.

Let rise in a warm place until doubled - about 1 hour.

Bake @ 350° for 30-35 minutes.
