Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 med. tomato, chopped
  • 2 c. fritos or tostados pieces
  • avocado or guacamole
  • chopped jalapenos; optional
  • black olives, sliced
  • 1 c. ranch dressing or 1 cup catalina dressing
  • sour cream, red salsa, etc; optional

Preparation

Step 1

Brown ground beef and season with garlic salt. Drain on paper towels on plate and set aside. Tear lettuce into bite size pieces and place in a large bowl. Add onions, cheese, tomato and ground beef and toss to mix well. Add dressing and toss until lettuce is well coated. Just before serving, add chips or tostados, avocado, jalapenos and olives if desired, toss lightly. Serve immediately.
