Ingredients
- 35 light colored caramels (Kraft)
- 1/3 cup cream
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup quick cooking oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation
Step 1
Place caramels and cream in a microwaveable bowl and microwave for 2 minutes, stirring after each minute to melt caramels and make a smooth mixture.
In a bowl place flour, oats, sugar, salt and baking soda. Stir to combine. Add melted butter and mix to a crumbly mixture,
In a 7 by ll inch baking pan press on bottom half of the flour oat mixture. Bake at 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Remove from oven and place evenly the chocolate chips and pecans. Pour over the melted caramel mixture evenly. Cover with the rest of the flour oat mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
When cold, cut into bars.
