Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 tea. vanilla, divided
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 tea. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 pan with cooking spray.

In a large bowl, mix sugar, butter and 1 tea. vanilla. Stir in flour and combine. Evenly press dough into the bottom of the pan. Bake 15-17 minutes, or until edges turn light brown. Remove from oven and cool.

Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, 1 tea. vanilla, salt and eggs. Stir in pecans and pour over crust.

reduce heat to 325 degrees. Place pan in the oven and bake from 25-30 minutes. Once cooked, remove from the oven and loosen the edges from the sides of the pan with a butter knife while warm. Cool completely, then cut into bars and enjoy.
