Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 quart vodka (4 cups)
- 1 vanilla bean or 2 Tbs vanilla extract
- 4 cups water
- 3/4 cup instant coffee

Step 1
Boil water, vanilla bean and sugar for 5-6 minutes. Add coffee very slowly* and heat 2 minutes stirring constantly until dissolved. Cool 10-15 minutes. Stir in vodka. Store covered in glass bottle. Shake daily for 3 weeks. Remove bean before serving.
*Reduce heat to low when you add coffee so it doesn't bubble over.
