Ingredients

  • 1 (2.75-ounce) pkg. chicken gravy mix
  • 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon granules
  • 2 teaspoons imitation bacon bits
  • 2 teaspoons celery flakes
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1 1/4 cups dried split green peas
  • 1 bay leaf (place on top and not in soup mix)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARING THE SOUP MIX:
Measure ingredients in layers in jar or blend in a vacuum seal bag if desired.

DIRECTIONS FOR PREPARING THE SOUP:
Attach Gift Tag to the jar or bag with these directions:


Turn your crock pot on to high and add the soup mix and 6 c. water.
Simmer for 1 -2 hours or until desired consistency. Remove bay leaf prior to serving.

COOKS NOTE: We also enjoy adding 1 cup of shredded carrots and 1 cup of frozen peas to the soup after it has cooked. Simply put the carrots and peas in a small microwave save bowl or container, cover, and cook in your microwave on high setting for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
