- 4 cups of whole milk
- 1 cup quick cooking grits
- 4 Tbls butter
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- Salt and Pepper to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Pour milk into a heavy sauce pan over medium-high heat and heat until bubbles appear on the edges of the pan (just before it's about to boil). Stir in grits slowly using a wire whisk. Reduce heat to medium low and cover. Cook for 5-7 minutes stirring occasionally. Add the butter and cheese and stir until melted. Add salt and pepper.
