- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cold lard
- 1/3 cup cold butter
- 4 tbsp hot water
- Filling
- 2 eggs at room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar

Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Grease tart pans.
Sift flour.
Mix in lard and butter with fingertips until the texture of coarse crumbs.
Continue kneading while adding hot water.
Roll into ball, cover with wax paper.
Refrigerate dough while making filling.
Gently beat eggs being careful not to create air bubbles.
Add milk and sugar.
Roll dough to 1/8" thickness and cut into 18 3" circles.
Fill pastry with filling.
Bake until an inserted knife comes out clean, about 35 minutes.
