Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup warm water (105°-115°)
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 1 pkg yeast
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 2 tsp kosher salt

Preparation

Step 1

Combine water, sugar, yeast and olive oil. Let it set for 10 minutes. Mix together flour, cornmeal and salt. Add yeast mixture to flour mixture. Knead on a low speed for 10 minutes or until smooth.

Form dough into a ball and place in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat. Cover with plastic and let rise until doubled, about one hour. Punch dough down and re-shape into a ball. Return to oiled bowl and let rise again, about one hour.

Preheat oven ro 450°. Divide dough in half. Freeze one half for later use. Roll out remaining ball and put toppings on and bake.
