Ingredients
- Topping:
- 2 lbs. frozen hash brown potatoes
- 2 cups grated cheddar (sharp or Colby) cheese (or 8 oz. jar Cheez Whiz)
- 1 can cream of chicken or celery soup (or 1/2 cup beef broth)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 pint sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste (or garlic salt)
- 2 cups crushed Corn Flakes
- 1/4 cup melted butter

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix first 6 ingredients thoroughly and spread in a buttered 9 x 13-inch casserole.
Mix Corn Flakes with butter until well-coated. Spread evenly over potatoes. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes until brown and bubbly.
NOTE:
This recipe can be divided in half, shortening the cooking time.
