Brisket in a Bag

  • 1 5 lb brisket
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup apricot jam
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1/4 cup bottled sweet and sour sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 3 cloves minced garlic



Step 1

Rinse brisket well and trim off excess fat. In a large ziploc, combine brisket with remaining ingredients and seal tightly. marinate for up to 2 days in fridge or up to 4 months in freezer

If frozen, when ready to cook, thaw frozen meat in fridge for 24 hours. Preheat oven to 350. Spray a large baking dish with Pam. Empty contents of bag into baking dish and bake, uncovered for about 4 hours or until tender.
