Ingredients
- Directions:
- 7 oz (200 g)walnuts
- 2 oz (50 g) rice
- 2 oz (50 g) red dried dates (jujubes, optional)
- 7/8 cup (200 g) sugar
- ●Soak the walnuts in water, then skin and rinse in cold water.
- ●Simmer the dates in water until plump, then remove the skins and pits of dates.
- ●Wash the rice and soak in warm water for 2 hours.
- ●Mince the walnuts and dates, then mix with the rice and enough water to make a paste. Grind until very fine and smooth, in a grinder or in a food processor.
- ●Pour the paste in a saucepan. Add the sugar and 2 cups (500 ml) of water. Heat to boiling, and stir constantly until the paste becomes as thick as cornmeal.
