Ingredients
- 2 2 2 cups bread crumbs
- 1 1 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 1 1 pound lean ground pork
- 1 1 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 3 3 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 1 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 3 3 cloves garlic, chopped or pressed
- 1 1 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
- 1/2 1/2 1/2
- teaspoon teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 1/2 1/2
- teaspoon teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 1 1/2 1 1/2
- teaspoons teaspoons salt
- Gravy
- 1/2 1/2 1/2
- cup cup onion, chopped
- 3 3 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/3 1 1/3 1 1/3
- cups cups beef broth, (use some juices from pan)
- 1 1 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 3 3 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 1/4 1/4
- cup cup red dry wine

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix all ingredients together. Shape into a loaf pan. Bake for 1.5 hours. If desired, spoon onion gravy over baked meatloaf slices. Onion Gravy Saute 1/2 cup of onion in 3 Tbsp of butter until slightly brown. Stir in 3 Tbsp of flour and mix 1 and 1/3 cup of beef stock,1 Tbsp of minced parsley and 1/4 cup dry red wine. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly. Serve with potatoes.
