Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- four eggs
- 1 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation
Step 1
mix sugar, shortening and eggs in mixing bowl. Measure flour, cocoa and salt together and mix with the first mixture. Add vanilla and nuts.
Bake in a 9 x 13" pan approximately 30 min. at 350°. Take out of the oven and spread with miniature marshmallows [or marshmallow cream]. Bake five or 6 min. longer. When cooked, spread with icing.
Icing
1 cup butter
1 box confectioners sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
2 tablespoons cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
