Ingredients

  • Onion
  • garlic
  • Beef cut in cubes
  • 1 1/2 C water
  • 1 can (10 1/2 oz.) beef broth
  • 3 T tomato paste
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • Celery, potatoes, carrots, peas
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Add onions to pot with a little oil
Remove onion, and add beef to brown
add water, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, and beef broth
Add salt and pepper to taste
Add vegetables and simmer minimum of 1 hour

Thicken, and serve with dumplings or warm French bread.
