Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1-1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 Tbsp Half & Half
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- Green & Red colored sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Sift flour once, measure, add salt and sift again. Cream butter with sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour and Half & Half, alternating ingredients. Chill dough for easier handling.
Divide dough into 4 equal parts, working with only one part of dough at a time and keeping the rest refrigerated.
Divide each part into 8 pieces and roll each piece out to an 8" rope, then twist into pretzel shape. Roll on cool surface such as marble or Corian.
Brush cookies with beaten egg and sprinkle with colored sugar. Place on baking sheet and bake in 400 or 375 degree oven for about 8 - 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
