Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons oil
- 1-1/2 pound beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1/2 cup uncooked medium pearl barley
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 medium onion, cut into thin wedges
- 1 cup water
- 2 (14-1/2 oz.) cans ready-to-serve beef broth
- 1 (14.5 oz.) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 cups Green Giant Frozen Cut Green Beans

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil in Dutch oven or large saucepan over medium-high heat until hot. Add beef stew meat; cook until browed on all sides. Drain.
Add all remaining ingredients except green beans; mix well Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 1 hour or until beef is tender.
Stir in green beans; cook, uncovered, over medium heat for an additional 15 minutes or until beans are tender.
