Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1 large red onion, chopped
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1 lb. bulk sweet Italian sausage
- 2 c. sliced cremini mushrooms
- 1/2 c. fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1-6 oz. tomato paste.
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1- 24 oz.. can San Marzano tomato puree
- 1/2 c. red wine, optional
- 1 package cooked wide lasagne noodles
- 1 lb. fresh whole milk ricotta (or more!) Calabro is the best!
- 1 lb. whole milk mozzarella, shredded (or more!)

Preparation
Step 1
Saute garlic and red onion in olive oil until softened.
Add mushrooms and cook together for a few minutes.
Add chuck and pork.
Saute a few minutes.
Add chopped parsley, tomato paste, sugar, tomato sauce, red wine.
Simmer for one hour.
Place sauce in bottom of rectangle pyrex dish. Alternate with wide lasagne noodles, ricotta, mozzarella, sauce, etc finishing with mozzarella.
Cover with foil and bake in 325° oven for 40-60 minutes or until heated through.
