Ingredients

  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 package Nabisco Chocolate Wafers*
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1 1 gallon coffee ice cream, softened
  • 1 1/2 1 1/2 1/2 cups chilled fudge sauce
  • Sweetened whipped cream or purchased whipped topping
  • Slivered almonds
  • May substitute prepared chocolate-cookie crumb crust

Preparation

Crust:

In a food processor, whirl chocolate wafers to fine crumbs. Add butter; whirl another 5 to 10 seconds. Press crumb mixture firmly and evenly into a 9-inch pie plate.

Place in freezer approximately 10 hours to set.

Serve frozen. slice into eight portions and serve on chilled individual dessert plates with chilled forks. Top with prepared whipped cream or whipped topping. Sprinkle slivered almonds over the top of each portion.
Spread softened ice cream over the pastry-lined plate. Freeze until ice cream is firm. Top with fudge sauce. NOTE: It helps to place fudge sauce in freezer for a time to make spreading easier.
