Ingredients
- 1 pkg. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt

Step 1
Heat oven to 375.
Melt ½ cup chocolate chips in microwave-safe bowl 30 seconds or until melted. Stir and set aside to cool.
Beat sugar, butter and vanilla on medium speed until creamy. Beat in eggs until light and fluffy. Mix in cooled melted chocolate.
Mix in four, cocoa, baking soda and salt on low speed until well blended. Stir in remaining chocolate chips. Shape dough into 1¼-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until set. Cool on cookie sheet 2 minutes; remove to wire rack to cool.
