Ingredients
- 1/4 - 1/2 lb Great Northern white beans
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 cups shredded cooked chicken breast
- 1 tbs oil
- 2 (4 oz) cans green chilies, chopped
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2- 1 tsp cayenne peper
- Mexican cheese
- Salsa
- sour cream

Preparation
Step 1
Combine beans, broth, garlic and 1/2 of the onion. Bring o a boil, reduce heat and simmer covered until beans are soft (about 3 hours). May need to add 1-2 cups water.
In a skillet, saute remaining onion. Add chilies and seasonings. Mix well.
Add above mixture to beans. Add chicken and simmer for 1 hour.
Serve with rice. Top with cheese, salsa and sour cream.
