AMISH SUGAR COOKIES

Ingredients

• 1-1/4 cups vegetable oil
• 1-1/4 cups butter, softened
• 2 cups powdered sugar
• 1-1/2 cups sugar
• 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 3 eggs
• 1-1/4 teaspoons baking soda
• 1-1/4 teaspoons cream of tartar
• 1-1/4 teaspoons salt
• 6-1/8 cups all-purpose flour

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together vegetable oil, butter, powdered sugar, sugar, vanilla and eggs. In a separate bowl, mix baking soda, cream of tartar, salt and flour. Mix flour mixture into creamed ingredients a little at a time. Drop batter by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Flatten with the bottom of a flat glass. Dip cookie into sugar. Return cookie to cookie sheet. Place into oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Cool then Enjoy
