Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Ground Sirloin
  • 1-1/2 cups chopped onion
  • 1-1/2 cups of chopped red & green bell pepper
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 28 oz can crushed tomato sauce with basil
  • 1-1/2 cups low sodium beef or chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 2 tsp dried Italian Seasoning (McCormick Perfect Pinch
  • Dash of Red Pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni

Preparation

Step 1

Over medium heat add ground beef, onions, bell peppers and garlic; lightly salt and pepper; cook about 10 minutes or until onions are translucent. Drain if necessary.

Step 2

add paprika, italian seasoning to the meat mixture and cook about one minute; then add sauce and reamaining ingredients. ; bring to a boil. Reduce hit, cover and simmer about 20 minutes, stirring occasionaliy

Step 3

Stir in pasta, cover and simmer 20 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Discard Bay leaf. Garnish with freshly grated parmesan cheese, if desired.
