Wilted Cabbage Slaw (like Ozark House)

This is pretty close to the recipe for Ozark House.

Ingredients

• 1 head Cabbage - Shredded
• 1 medium onion - sliced thin
• 3/4 Cup Sugar
• 3/4 Cup Oil
• 1 Cup Vinegar
• 1 tsp. Salt
• 1 tsp Dry Mustard
• 1 tsp. celery seed
• 1 tsp. Sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Layer Cabbage and Onion in Bowl
Pour 3/4 Cup Sugar on top and DO NOT MIX

Step 2

Combine and bring to boil:

3/4 Cup Oil
1 Cup Vinegar
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp Dry Mustard
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. Sugar

Step 3

Pour Hot Mixture over Cabbage. Do not Mix.

Step 4

Refrigerate for 3 hours and mix before serving
