Preparation
Step 1
For crust mix 1 stick of butter, one cup flour and pecans together and press into bottom of deep pan. Bake at 350 for approx 15 mins. Remove and let cool.
For filling, mix cream cheese with 1 cup powdered sugar until smooth. Pour onto cool crust. Next mix chocolate and vanilla pudding together with 3 cups of milk. Mix until set and spread on top of cream cheese filling. Chill in refrigerator at least one hour. Spread Cool Whip on top when ready to serve.
Step 2
You can also substitute an Oreo crust for this crust. I have some folks that don't like pecans so when they come I use the Oreo crust. All you do is chop Oreo's in a food processor and speed on bottom of casserole dish. Pop into a 350 oven for about 10 minutes so cream filling will melt and set up crust.
Step 3
You can use a deep 9 x 13 glass casserole dish or a deep foil dish if you want to take it to someone and not have them worry about returning your dish.
