Preparation

Step 1

Beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla in a large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.

Step 2

Add sugar gradually, beating until well blended after each addition.

Sift the powdered sugar before adding to the cream cheese mixture for a smoother frosting.
Recipe makes enough to fill and frost 2 (8 or 9") cake layers or top and sides of 13x9" cake or 24 cupcakes.
