  • 1 pound dark cooking chocolate
  • 4 3/4 ounces butter
  • 1/2 cup ground almonds
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 3/4 ounces milk chocolate, melted

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush a 9 inch springform tin with melted butter. Line base and sides with baking paper.

Step 2

Combine chocolate and butter in small pan; stir over low heat until chocolate and butter have melted. Stir in almonds and transfer to a large bowl. Using electric beaters, beat eggs and sugar until thick. Fold in flour.

Step 3

Fold egg mixture into chocolate mixture; spoon into prepared tin. Bake 25 minutes or until top of cake is just set. Remove from oven, cool. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze in tin overnight or until firm.

Step 4

Place sour cream in small bowl; whisk chocolate into sour cream until smooth. Spread over top of cake. Freeze, covered, until firm. Top with chocolate scrolls and serve.
