Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup prune purée (12 prunes blitzed with 3 tbsp hot water until smooth)
  • 3 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 3/4 white sugar
  • 3/4 brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour or 2 1/4 white flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375

Step 2

Line baking sheets with parchment paper

Step 3

In a large bowl beat purée, butter, both sugars,eggs and vanilla until smooth.

Step 4

In a small bowl combine flour and baking soda.

Step 5

Stir in chocolate chips.

Step 6

Drop tsps of dough onto baking sheets and flatten slightly with fork and milk.

Step 7

Bake for 10 - 12 minutes until light ground around edges.

Step 8

Transfer to wire rack to cool.

Step 9

Store in air tight container or freezer.
