Ingredients
- 1 cup cubed ham
- 1/2 cup finely diced celery
- 1 cup water
- 2 (10oz) cans chicken broth
- 2 (19oz) can black beans,
- washed
- 1/2 cup tiny diced carrot
- 1 minced onion
- 1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 bunch kale
- 1 bunch cilantro

Preparation
Step 1
In large pot combine all ingredients except kale. Reduce heat and allow soup to gently simmer for approximately 2 hours stirring occasionally. The closer to 2 hours this soup cooks the better it tastes.
Step 2
When serving - put a bunch of kale in the bottom of the bowl and put soup over the top of it. Can add some cut cilantro on top.
