Ingredients

  • 1 large orange
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 luzianne family size tea bag
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 while cloves
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup dark rum

Preparation

Step 1

1. Zest the orange in long strips.
2. In a large pot, add water and orange zest and bring to a boil.
3. Add the tea bag, cinnamon stick and cloves, turn off heat and allow to steep for 15 minutes.
4. Remove tea bag, orange peels and spices from pot with slotted spoon.
5. Add sugar, orange juice and rum; stir and cook over low heat to desired serving temperature, 1-2 minutes.
6. Pour into mugs and serve.
