Ingredients
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 2 tbs meringue powder
- 5-6 tbs water
- 1 tbs almond extract

Preparation
Step 1
Mix powdered sugar and meringue powder in mixer on low. Slowly add in water. Add 5 tbs and beat until soft, glossy peaks form. May need to add 1 more tbs water.
Step 2
Add 1 tbs. almond extract for flavor. Separate as desired and add food coloring (gel coloring is best). Cover each with a damp paper towel and seal wrap until ready to use.
Step 3
Use decorating bags, pipe a thin border around each cookie and let set up a few minutes. Thin rest of icing with a few drops of water to use to flood rest of cookie.
