Ingredients
- 3 1/2 lbs. chicken
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 Tblsp. minced garlic
- 2 cups root beer
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 2 Tblsp. molasses
- 1 Tblsp. W-suce
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- Oil
- Salt and Pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400. Coat chicken with oil, salt, and pepper; arrange on a baking sheet and roast 4 minutes.
Step 2
Saute onion and garlic for the sauce in oilive oil in a saute pan over meidum heat 2-3 minutes. Add root beer, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer until reduced to 1/2 cup, about 15 minutes. Stir in ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, molasses, W-sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. Off heat, add lime juice.
Step 3
Coat chicken with sauce, then grill 5 minutes. Coat again, turn over, and grill until charred and crisp, 5 more minutes.
