  • 3 cups salad croutons
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chiles
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Preparation

Step 1

Arrange croutons in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese and chiles. In a bowl, beat remaining ingredients. Pour over cheese. Refrigerate, covered, 8 hours or overnight.
Remove dish from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Preheat oven to 350°. Bake, uncovered, until a knife inserted in center comes out clean, 40-45 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
