Ingredients
- 4 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 4 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups lentils
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1/3 cup chopped celery
- 1/3 cup chopped carrots
- 1/3 cup chopped onions
- 2 cloves garlic
- 6 oz. turkey kielbasi
- 2 tsp crushed thyme
- Salt & pepper to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Heat large stockpot over medium heat. Add celery, carrot onion & garlic; saute' until onion is translucent & celery & carrot are tender about 5 minutes.
Add saute'ed vegetables, kielbasi, thyme to soup. Combine broths crushed tomatoes & lentils. Bring to boil. Reduce heat cover & simmer until lentils are very tender stirring occasionally about 1 hour . Season soup to taste with salt & pepper. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead cover & chill. Can cook small pasta in separate pot & add to lentil soup. Rewarm over medium heat. stirring occasionally). Freezes great! (Do not freeze with pasta).
