  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 Cup Bread Crumbs
  • 2/3 Cup Tomato Sauce
  • 1 lb. Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 1/2 Cup Mozzarella Cheese or Cheddar or combination
  • 1 Minced Garlic Clove
  • 1 Tsp. Basil
  • 1/4 Tsp. Oregano
  • 1/2 Tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp. Pepper

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425F. Lightly grease 9" pie plate. Lightly beat egg. Stir in bread crumbs and 1/3 c. tomato sauce. Crumble in beef. Add 1/2 c. cheese, garlic, basil, oregano, salt & pepper. Work mixture until combined. Evenly pat into pie plate. Bake uncovered for 20 min. Drain off juices. Spread with remaining sauce and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Continue baking until cheese is golden, 10-15 more min.
