Ingredients

  • 1 c each
  • pecan halves
  • walnut pieces
  • blanched hazelnuts
  • raw cashews
  • 1/4 c maple syrup
  • 2 T olive or canola oil
  • 1 T each finely chopped fresh rosemary and thyme
  • 1 large clove garlic minced
  • 1/4 t cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 T sea salt flakes

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. line shallow pan with foil. Spread nuts in one layer. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly toasted.

Step 2

Meanwhile, stir together maple syrup, oil, herbs, garlic and cayenne. Remove nuts from oven. Pour syrup mixture over and toss well. Bake 10 more minutes, stirring often.

Step 3

Sprinkle with sea salt and stir. Let cool completely in pan or on rack. Store covered at room temperature up to 5 days. If desired, warm in skillet over med-low heat to serve.
