Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb sea shell macaroni
  • 1 T Butter
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground chuck
  • 2 (8-oz) c. tomato sauce
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg cream cheese
  • 1/4 c. sour cream
  • 1/3 c. minced onions
  • 1 T. chopped green pepper
  • 2 T. butter, melted

Step 1

Cook noodles and drain; saute chuck until brown in 1 T. butter; stir in tomato sauce and remove from heat. Combine cottage cheese and next 4 ingredients in separate bowl ( cream cheese, sour cream, onions and green pepper); place half of the macaroni in a 2 quart casserole and cover with cheese mixture; then place the other half of macaroni over cheese mixture; pour 2 T. melted butter over the top and then pour tomato/meat sauce on top. Heat in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
