Ingredients
- 4 chicken breast
- 3/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced
- 2 T. flour
- 2 T. olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1/4 c. balsamic vinegar
- 3/4 c. chicken broth
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 t. thyme
- 1 T. butter

Step 1
Season chicken with salt & pepper. Rinse mushrooms, pat dry. Dredge chicken in flour. Heat oil over medium heat and saute chicken until browned.
Add garlic. Turn chicken breast and add the mushrooms. Continue frying, shaking the skillet and stirring mushrooms. Cook about 3 minutes, add vinegar, broth, bay leaf, and thyme. Cover and simmer on low for 10 minutes.
Remove chicken and cover with foil. Simmer sauce over medium heat for 7 minutes. Add butter and discard bay leaf. Pour sauce over chicken.
