Sweet and Sour Beans

Ingredients
- Any kind of beans are fine. I use:
- 8 slices bacon, fried, drained and crumbled
- 1-2 medium onions, sliced
- 1/2 - 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 - 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 - 16 oz can butter lima beans or great northern beans (drain)
- 1 - 16 oz can small green lima beans (drain)
- 1 - 16 oz can kidney beans (drain)
- 1 - 16 oz can baked beans (do not drain)

Preparation
Step 1
Place onions, brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, salt and vinegar into a sauce pan. Cover and cook 20 min over low heat. Mix beans together in a large casserole dish. Add onion mixture and bacon. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. I bake the beans covered for 45 minutes, uncovered for remaining time. Also, you can put the bacon pieces on as a topping just before serving instead of cooking with the beans.
