Ingredients
- Crust:
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans
- Filling:
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (3 oz.) package cream cheese. softened
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Topping:
- 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream (more as needed)
- 1/4 cup sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In mixer cream together the butter and brown sugar, then add the flour and nuts. Beat mixture until it is crumbly. Set aside 1 cup of the crumb mixture for the topping. Press the remaining crumb mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch square pan. Bake for 12 minutes.
In mixer, beat together the sugar and cream cheese until it is smooth. Add the egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla and beat just until the ingredients are combined.
Spread mixture evenly over hot crust. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture over the top. Bake it for about 25 to 30 minutes or until the cheesecake is set. Remove from oven but do not turn off oven.
In a small bowl, stir together the sour cream and sugar until well-mixed. Spread over the top of the hot cheesecake. Bake for 5 more minutes. Place the baking pan on a wire rack and cool completely.
When the cheesecake is completely cool, cut it into 3-inch squares. Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.
