  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
  • 1-1/2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together butter and sugar till fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Sift dry ingredients. Blend into creamed mixture. Divide dough.
Chill dough.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Roll dough on floured board until 1/8-inch thick; cut; bake for 6-8 minutes
