My Yummy Meatballs and Sauce

This is mostly an approximate recipe I use whenever I make pasta and meatballs; basically they are never exactly the same.

My Yummy Meatballs and Sauce 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1- 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 about 1/2 cup crushed bread crumbs
  • can add 1/2cupish Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • to taste- Basil (1-2 tsp), Italian Seasoning blend (1tbl), Onion Powder (1-2 tbl), Garlic Powder (2-3 tsp)
  • can also add finely chopped bell pepper, fresh minced garlic, finely chopped onion
  • My favorite sauce-
  • 1 -28 oz- can Contadina Crushed Tomatos
  • 2 -15 oz- can of Contadina Tomato Sauce
  • 1 -8 oz- can Contadina Tomato Paste
  • 1 tbl Grape Jam
  • also, to taste- Basil (1-2 tsp), Italian Seasoning blend (1tbl), Onion Powder (1-2 tbl), Garlic Powder (2-3 tsp)

Preparation

Step 1

Prepare sauce in large saucepan, stirring until well blended.

Place all these Meatball ingredients into a large bowl, using 'clean' hands knead the ingredients together until well blended;
Make into your favorite size ball and gently place in your tomato sauce. Small meatballs take less time, but I usually simmer them in the sauce at least an hour.
