  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teas. baking powder
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 teas. vanilla extract
  • 1 teas. almond extract

Step 1

Cream the shortening, butter and sugar thoroughly. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after the addition of each egg. To the mixture, add, alternately the flour and milk, began and end with flour. Add the flavoring. Put in a greased and floured tube pan for 1 1/2 hours at 325. Do not open oven during baking time.
