Ingredients

  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 2 oz goat cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 brown sugar
  • 10-12 fresh basil leaves
  • TOPPING
  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter - room temp
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds

Preparation

Step 1

Soften goat cheese then mix with cream, cornstarch and brown sugar until the consistency of losse frosting. Add the basil, then the blueberries. Mix carefully to coat berries without crushing them.

Topping
Melt the butter, mix it with the brown sugar and almonds and pour over top of cake.

Cover with foil and Bake at 450F for about 10 minutes, reduce heat to 350 and bake 45 minutes more removing the foil for the last 20 minutes.
