Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dry oregano
- Kosher salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
- 3/4 lb ground beef chuck
- 3/4 lb ground pork

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 375°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. In a bowl, combine the ketchup and brown sugar.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, tomato paste, Worcestershire, oregano, 3/4 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper; stir in the bread crumbs. Add the onion and parsley and mix to combine.
Add the beef and pork and mix just until incorporated. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking sheet and shape into a 9 x 3 1/2-in. loaf.
Brush loaf with the ketchup–brown sugar mixture.
Bake until the internal temperature registers 150°F, 40 to 45 minutes. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
